Spain — Malaga, Costa del Sol: 4-Night Holiday (Day 1, Part 3)

The Apartment

The apartment at Marriott Playa Andalucía is somewhere between a hotel room and a private flat — hotel-quality comfort with the practicality of a self-contained home.

Kitchen: Granite worktops, IH hob, Nespresso machine, standard coffee maker (2 sachets of coffee provided), kettle, toaster, microwave, and oven. Full set of pots, pans, crockery, glasses, and utensils. A two-seat counter with bar stools overlooks the kitchen area.

Utility room: Washing machine, tumble dryer, drying rack, iron and board, mop and cleaning supplies. Housekeeping makes the beds and cleans daily; laundry is self-service. With the dry climate, washing hung on the terrace in the morning is dry by lunchtime.

Terrace: Large outdoor table and chairs. Watching other guests, almost everyone takes at least one meal a day outdoors — and in this climate, it is immediately obvious why.

En suite bathroom: double washbasins, large bathtub (fits two), separate toilet (with bidet), shower room with both overhead rain shower and handheld option. Spanish tile decoration on the wall behind the bed and throughout the bathroom.

Everything is well-considered without being extravagant — appropriate for a beach holiday resort rather than a city centre luxury hotel.
